Our Kentish restaurant

Kent is often referred to as the Garden of England, and for very good reason: for many a century this county has provided Britain with a plentiful supply of meat, fish, fruit and vegetables such as hops. Hop picking became an annual working holiday for the East End of London. At one point 80,000 Londoners were coming to Kent every autumn to pick hops and dry them in Kent's famous Oast Houses.

But it's the county's abundance of orchards that has given it some of its most distinctive recipes. The combinations of fruit, meat and fish help create some of the most innovative and tasty dishes in England.

Here at Elvey Farm, we're giving you some Kentish dishes as they would have been presented years ago; some recipes that have been adapted to make them lighter; and some dishes that are fresh, modern and up to date.

We hope the mix of old and new will help you to enjoy a memorable meal with us.

To book a table, give us a call on 01233 840 442 or send us an email.
