The coast

Dungeness - the lonely coast

Alternvatively, head down to Dungeness. The scenery here is stunning. It's desolate, it's remote, but it's got a beauty unsurpassed in this corner of England. Don't forget to stop off at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, near Folkestone, a great day out for all the family. Why not take the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Miniature Railwayto Dungeness. Try and sit in the carriage that contains a licensed bar - you'll be glad you did!

Dover

We're just 30 minutes from Dover, so why not spend some time exploring the White Cliffs. Beautiful scenery, a fascinating port - and of course, on a good day, you can see France.

Of course, if you're feeling really adventurous, why not bring your passport - you can spend the day in Calais or Boulogne, and come back to the farm laden with Duty Free.
