Elvey Farm

So what's a celebration at Elvey Farm like? And how does it compare with other venues? The most important thing you need to know is, it's a very relaxed affair. You take over the farm with all your friends and family, and you stay here the whole night, so your friends don't have to worry about B&Bs, taxis etc.

Your celebration will probably start the night before. Many brides come down on the eve of their wedding and stay the night with their bridesmaids or family. It's often nice to have a quiet dinner with your most important guests... some quality time before the mayhem.

We can also offer a range of treatments for the bride - from facials, to manicures, to hair and make-up.

So to the day itself... Your ceremony can take place in our sixteenth century dining room, which seats 60 (or we can go up to 90 if some people stand). Or for a more intimate affair, we can seat 25 in our guest lounge, where you can get married by the fire-place.

If you want to know more about the ceremony itself, and what choices you have, visit A Kentish Wedding's website here.

After welcome drinks on the terrace and lawn, you can have a party in the Marquee, which seats up to 120. The Marquee looks out onto the paddock, so there's plenty of room to spill out onto the grass. You can choose from two caterers, both of whom work here frequently, and know exactly how to provide the best for your big day.

Feel free to organise whatever you like for the reception - from bands, to BBQs, to discos, to entertainment. Some guests have a hog roast, others have a full wedding breakfast... whatever would make your day perfect.

Now it's time to relax and party in the marquee until one o'clock in the morning....

Then when your guests retire to bed, a nice, sizzling hot tub for the happy couple, before heading to the four-poster bed for a good night's sleep!
